Now that the Minnesota Twins have made it official with its first overall draft pick, Royce Lewis baseball cards have begun to pop up on eBay.
There’s a lot of hype building for the top prospect shortstop who has such great athleticism, he may end up playing another position entirely.

While that flexibility gives him more opportunity to come up to the big leagues sooner, Lewis is still only 18 years old and there will be a learning curve as he works his way up the system.
And unlike other professional sports, it can be a really long road to The Show where a lot of barriers can potentially get in the way (ie. injuries, lack of opportunity, prolonged slumps).
That’s why for those looking to get the early pre-Major League cards of Lewis, the value may be at its peak right now (ie. $175 Ungraded for the 2016 Leaf Perfect Game National Etch Purple Wave autographed card).
That is unless you believe some GMs who see Lewis as “the next Jeter.”
