The Miami Dolphins selected Tua Tagovailoa with its fifth overall pick in the 2020 NFL Draft with high expectations of leading the team to a much improved record than the previous season.
The talented quarterback will have to remain healthy but if he can, the sky is the limit.
Here are some of this top rookie cards currently available for those looking to invest in Tagovailoa early.
1. 2020 Panini Prizm Draft Picks Rookie Autograph Card
All the first released cards can be argued whether or not it’s a true rookie card as they feature Tagovailoa in his college uniform.
But until he plays in a Dolphins uniform, sets like the 2020 Panini Prizm Draft will have to do.
And some are commanding big bucks for the rare parallels that are well-graded.
2. 2020 Panini Contenders Draft Pick Autograph Cards
We’re going to clump all the variation cards of Tagovailoa here that come from 2020 Panini Contenders.
It includes the College Ticket, Playoff Ticket and Bowl Ticket subsets – each with an autograph.
Plus they have their own parallels within the subset that differentiate the value of these cards further.
3. 2020 Leaf Draft Autograph Rookie Cards
And just like the aforementioned Panini Contenders autograph cards, we’re going to lump the different Leaf Draft autograph rookie cards together.
While not the most popular brand for football card collectors, they do issue some early college autograph cards that are worth taking a look.
Many of the parallels for each subset (Leaf Metal Draft and Leaf Ultimate Draft) have low print runs, which should help keep the value up (as long as Tagovailoa performs).
