In 2019, Volpe played in the Gulf Coast League (GCL), a rookie-level league, appearing in 34 games. He hit .263 with nine home runs, 51 RBIs, and stole 21 bases in 109 games. He also received recognition for his defense, being awarded the FSL’s Best Defensive Shortstop and being named to the league’s All-Star team.
As Volpe’s career progresses, many are optimistic about his future in professional baseball. He was considered one of the Yankees’ top prospects.
