For novice and hardcore hockey card collectors alike, Wayne Gretzky’s iconic 1979-1980 O-Pee-Chee rookie card is a must have.
But depending on the quality of the card, it’ll cost a collector anywhere from $250 (for an ungraded card) to about $500,000 for one that’s graded a PSA 10.
To give you an idea of how much you’ll have to spend on other O-Pee-Chee PSA graded rookie cards belonging to The Great One, here’s what they sold for on eBay back in 2017. You’ll see there’s almost an exponential increase going from one PSA grade to the next level up.
- PSA 9: $28,700 (Feb 2017)
- PSA 8: $3,900 (March 2017)
- PSA 7: $1,200 (April 2017)
- PSA 6: $745 (April 2017)
- PSA 5: $424 (March 2017)
Now they’re going for much more even after the hobby has settled down in 2023.
