Most of the graded cards out in the sports card market will be your typical singles slabbed to keep the piece of cardboard in good condition as well as to increase its value.
But there are some that grade whole wax packs of sports cards.
And while it might seem strange at first, it starts to make sense when you think of all those who are willing to pay to buy a highly sought after pack in good condition that might contain a major hit.
Case in point, the 1986 Fleer Basketball pack in good condition can fetch thousands of dollars just for the potential of hitting the iconic Michael Jordan rookie card.
There’s also the 1952 Topps Baseball pack, which could contain the iconic Mickey Mantle baseball card. And for hockey fans, there’s the 1979 O-Pee-Chee packs hoping to chase Wayne Gretzky’s rookie card.
But it’ll cost you, especially the higher graded packs that can ramp up the price to the tens of thousands. For those willing to take the risk, check out the list below of all the current eBay listings available.
