As expected, with the news of Shohei Ohtani’s injury that could see him pitch next in 2020, his 2018 Bowman Chrome autographed rookie cards have seen a big drop in value.
For some, it might be a good opportunity to buy low if collectors believe Ohtani can pitch and bat to the level he was this season to date after a potential Tommy John surgery.
We list three below that are up for eBay auction (which all end today) currently at drastically less value than it was even a month ago during Ohtani mania.
For example, unless the bidding increases rapidly in the final hours, the graded autographed Orange Refractor sold for $12,500 earlier this month. Currently, the bidding is at just over $6,000 with about 14 hours left to go.
While that amount will increase, our money is that it won’t get close to the $12,000 mark. Time will tell. Click below at each of the cards to see the most recent bidding price before the auction ends.
