There are high expectations for RJ Barrett as he starts his NBA career with the New York Knicks as well as from collectors investing in RJ Barrett rookie cards.
While most of the attention has been focused on his Duke University teammate Zion Williamson, as well as number 2 overall 2019 draft pick Ja Morant, Barrett has a good shot of his own to win Rookie of the Year honors.
Here’s our pick for his top 3 rookie cards available now with links to the listings so you can buy or bid on them.
1. 2019-20 Panini Prizm Draft Picks Autograph RJ Barrett Rookie Cards
The Panini Prizm Draft Picks Basketball is one of the earlier sets to feature an autograph (albeit sticker) of top prospects.
And Barrett is no different with dark and light jersey image variations available as well as several parallel versions with some being extremely rare.
But the higher serial number cards are still currently relatively affordable.
2. 2019-20 Panini Contenders Draft Picks RJ Barrett Autograph Rookie Cards
The Panini Contenders set is also popular with basketball card collectors.
Like the aforementioned Prizm set, there are several image variations available (both in horizontal and vertical configurations) as well as several parallel versions.
It’s also priced much higher than the Prizm cards.
3. 2019-20 Immaculate Collegiate RJ Barrett Rookie Patch Autograph Cards
Here’s the premium rookie card you want for all you high-end basketball collectors.
Barrett’s Immaculate Collegiate rookie card doesn’t only have an on-card autograph but comes with a jersey relic patch as well.
It comes in both a vertical and horizonal format with each card serial numbered.
BONUS: 2019-20 Panini Prizm RJ Barrett Rookie Cards #250
With the release of the popular 2019-20 Panini Prizm, the chase is on for the rookie cards in this set – especially the rare parallels.
Barrett has his rookie card (#250) and despite the card being a non-auto, it already has decent value.

None of those are rookie cards, they are all college cards. Rookie cards don’t show up until November , when the NBA sets release. I’ll be curious to see how he does…it’s not too often a player says the Knicks were their first choice but he seems genuinely happy to be here.
Good point. For all intents and purposes we’ve included all his college cards under the “rookie” banner but we’ll be sure to include the official rookie cards once they’re released. And totally agree with you about Barrett looking forward to playing with the Knicks. Hope he does well there!
