After graduating from high school, Bosa committed to playing college football for Ohio State University. During his time at Ohio State, he became a two-time first-team All-American and was named the Big Ten Defensive Player of the Year in 2018.

Bosa also played a crucial role in helping Ohio State win the Big Ten Championship in 2017 and reaching the College Football Playoff in both 2017 and 2018.
