What Exactly Are MLB Topps Chrome Disney Cards?
In 2025, Topps expands its Chrome brand into the world of baseball with the Mickey & Friends MLB Home Jersey Set.
This is the first time Disney characters have been shown in official MLB-licensed uniforms on trading cards, making them true MLB Topps Chrome Disney cards.
The base set features the popular Disney characters rendered in Chrome-finish card stock. But for baseball fans, the real allure lies in the Mickey & Friends MLB subset, where Mickey Mouse, Goofy, and Donald Duck suit up in their home jerseys — representing all 30 MLB teams.
The Hype Behind These Disney × MLB Cards
1. The novelty & crossover appeal
Mickey, Goofy, and Donald stepping onto the baseball diamond bridges two massive fanbases — Disney lovers and sports card collectors.
2. Rare parallels and chase versions
These cards come in ultra-limited versions: Black Refractors (#/10), Red Refractors (#/5), and the holy grail 1/1 SuperFractor.
3. Rotating team assignments
Mickey, Goofy, and Donald each cover divisions: Mickey the AL/NL West, Goofy the East, Donald the Central. Over time, their team assignments are expected to rotate, creating a long-term chase arc.

Watch for the Update / Away jersey release
Topps is planning a complementary “Away Jersey” set in the 2025 Chrome Update series — this will expand the “MLB Topps Chrome Disney cards” universe.
Use breaks, build sets gradually
Because the chase is steep, consider group breaks, Y-P-C (You Pick Card) offers, or trading to finish your set. Many collectors will try to grab one MLB character card per team and upgrade from there.
Character popularity vs. team assignment: A Mickey card for a popular team may outperform one for a less-followed team.
Grading & surface issues: Chrome finish can be unforgiving — surface scratches or centering flaws can tank a card’s grade.
