As of March 15, 2017, there’s five days left until the auction for the iconic 1986 Fleer Michael Jordan rookie card (PSA Graded GEM MT 10) ends.
It’s already reached the $18,000 mark being auctioned off via PWCC and may go a little higher. Recent winning bids have ranged from $18,000 to $20,000.
For any (rich) basketball fan and collector, this is a must-have for your collection.
But that begs the question: if you were a lucky owner of this particular rookie card or any high-priced card, would you display it openly in your home?
Or would you keep it hidden away in a vault to show friends only in a secure setting?
It’s not a question I have to worry about answering personally, but if anyone fits the demographic I’m talking about and is currently reading this blog post, I’d love to hear your thoughts!
