For many basketball fans, Michael Jordan will be the GOAT – ahead of Lebron James, Kobe Bryant, and anyone else who’s played in the NBA.

Whether you agree or not, his rookie cards whenever they’re up for auction is a hot commodity.

And depending on the condition of the card, you’ll be shelling out big bucks to buy one. But the value seems to grow each year.

Here are our picks for his best rookie cards with links provided below on where you can find them on eBay to bid or buy.

1. 1986 Fleer Rookie Card #57

This is one of the most iconic modern day sports card not just for basketball, but for all professional sports.

It is Jordan’s only NBA-licensed standard issue rookie card and it’s hard to find them in pristine condition.

That’s mostly due to the dark red border which is highly susceptible to chipping. But the ones that are graded mint and gem mint will cost five to six figures.

2. 1986 Fleer Sticker Rookie Card #8

Another valuable rookie card of Jordan’s which is found as an insert in the 1986-87 Fleer Sticker set.

But it won’t cost nearly as much (with similar grading) as the aforementioned 1986 Fleer rookie card.

This card is also hard to find in pristine condition.

3. 1984-85 Star Company XRC Rookie Card #101

This card released a year earlier than the previous cards is usually attributed as his first rookie card.

That label carries some value with well-graded cards still costing thousands.

Beware or reprints and fakes, however. Graded cards are usually worth getting in this case.
