Whether you think he’s #1 or #2 in the GOAT conversation, LeBron James rookie cards will hold great value as he’s already cemented his legacy.

Now there is a wide price range for some of his rookie cards from a hundreds to millions of dollars (like the 2003-04 Upper Deck Exquisite autographed patch rookie card).

But there are some below we like that can be currently bought online.

2003-04 Topps Chrome LeBron James Rookie Cards

This might be the most recognizable rookie card for many collectors. The Topps Chrome rookie card also has a much more limited refractor set which go for much more.

2003 SP Authentic autographed LeBron James Rookie Cards #148 (/500)

While it won’t set you back six figures, this one does still have a fairly hefty price tag for regular collectors.

Still the SP Authentic brand is nice and the on-card autograph of King James is pretty sweet too.

To top it off, it’s numbered to just 500 – rare enough to make it valuable but not so much that the card is inaccessible.

2003-2004 Bowman Chrome LeBron James Rookie Cards #123

There’s no autograph or patch but that makes this one affordable and an easy one to add to your collection.

The Bowman Chrome brand is solid and the picture of a smiling James with the basketball to his side is a nice touch.

A nicely graded card even without the autograph still retains good value.

MORE INFO ON LEBRON: LeBron James made his professional debut with his hometown team, the Cleveland Cavaliers in 2003 and quickly established himself as one of the top players in the league.

His career wasn’t always smooth sailing beginning with the decision to leave Cleveland and join the Miami Heat to create a super team with Dwyane Wade and Chris Bosh.

While fans and media criticized the move, LeBron went on to win two championships with the Heat in 2012 and 2013, and he was named the Finals MVP both times.

After four seasons in Miami, LeBron returned to Cleveland in 2014, and he led the Cavaliers to their first-ever championship in 2016. For many, this accomplishment solidified LeBron’s place in the history of basketball.

Since 2016, LeBron added another championship and more awards including in 2018 when he joined the Los Angeles Lakers, helping the team win their 17th championship. In 2020, LeBron was named the Finals MVP, making him the oldest player to win the award at the age of 35.

  1. Just wondering what the triple auto from the 2003-04 so authentic set is worth. The Jordan/James/Bryant triple auto out of 15?
