While he didn’t go number one in the 2020 NBA Draft, LaMelo Ball still got drafted in the top 3 by the Charlotte Hornets and still has big upside and so might LaMelo Ball rookie cards.
There are risks too with some aspects of his game still needing work.
But for collectors who still believe, Lamelo Ball basketball cards will be highly anticipated (just as much as the first overall pick Anthony Edwards).

- 2020-21 Panini Prizm Basketball Card
With the release of the 2020-21 Panini Prizm Basketball Card set, this Lamelo Ball Prizm rookie card will be the one that’s likely the most sought after.
There are plenty of parallels to collect, and the rare ones (and some not so rare ones) are already listed for thousands.
2. 2020-21 Panini Contenders Autograph Card
Another great autograph card to collect with a standard look year after year is from the Panini Contenders set.
Some of the more rare parallels like the Conference Ticket or Tournament Ticket are already up there in price.
But there are other cheaper parallels plus a couple of image variations available.
3. 2020-21 Panini Select Rookie Card
Another great alternative to the Prizm rookie card is the LaMelo Ball Select rookie card.
In particular, the Select Courtside set is pretty sweet. It’s more rare than the Concourse subset plus some of the parallels are fairly rare and have held its value.
BONUS: 2018 Leaf Metal Draft Autograph Card
One of the earlier releases of LaMelo sports cards is from the Leaf Metal Draft packs.
While some collectors loathe the general look and quality of Leaf cards, they have some rare ones out there that might interest high-end collectors (including one superfractor).
MORE INFO ABOUT LAMELO BALL: At the age of 19 years and 140 days, Ball became the youngest player in NBA history to record a triple-double, putting up 22 points, 12 rebounds, and 11 assists in a 113–105 win against the Atlanta Hawks.
His early NBA success continued when in December and January of 2021, Ball was awarded Eastern Conference Rookie of the Month after averaging 12.2 points, 6.1 assists, 5.9 rebounds.
Ball was then named the 2020–21 NBA Rookie of the Year and was selected to the NBA All-Rookie First Team.
He continued his great play in the 2021–22 season opener when Ball matched his career-high seven three-pointers, putting up 31 points, nine rebounds, and seven assists in a 123–122 win over the Indiana Pacers.
On February 7, Ball was named to his first NBA All-Star Game as an injury replacement for Kevin Durant.
