It’s the summer of 2022, but hockey card collectors can now rejoice because the 2020-21 SP Authentic hockey card set has finally been released.
And one of the big chases in this set is undoubtedly the rookie of the year (Calder Memorial recipient) in 2021 Kirill Kaprizov.
In his rookie season, he scored an impressive 27 goals with 24 assists (51 points) in just 54 games played.
He followed that up in the 2021-22 season playing 81 games, scoring 47 goals with 61 assists, finishing with a total of 108 points.
Seeing Kaprizov follow up his rookie season with a 100+ point season should certainly increase his rookie card value (but who knows with the state of the sports card market these days).
If you’re interested in seeing what’s listed on eBay, look for his Future Watch autograph cards numbered to 999, as well as his even more limited rookie patch autos, and some numbered non-autograph cards as well.
