What’s not to like about Jose Altuve who might be small-in-stature but plays like a true big leaguer when he’s at the plate and on the field. High average, fast, has some pop in the bat and solid defensively. Yet Jose Altuve rookie cards come at a great value.

It might be a good time to invest now as he looks to pad his career stats. Here are our favorite Altuve rookie cards.

2010 Bowman Chrome Prospects #BCP137 Jose Altuve Rookie Cards

Unlike many top prospect cards today, Altuve’s never came with an autograph, which keeps the value of this card from climbing higher than it could have.

And since it’s considered an insert, this card isn’t technically a rookie card but many collectors will treat it as such.

It’s still a nice card to have for an Altuve fan as it’s his first card in a Houston Astros’ uniform. Plus there are plenty of refractors available, which have considerably higher value.

2011 Bowman Chrome Draft #11 Jose Altuve Rookie Cards

Here’s a nice card on quality stock that is plenty available in good condition despite the black border.

It also has the ‘RC’ designation, which some collectors like to see on a rookie card.

Refractors are also available for those who like to chase cards that have a much higher value than the base.

2011 Topps Update #US132 Jose Altuve Rookie Cards

A very affordable rookie card offered by Topps in its 2011 Update set.

Not your conventional looking card either with Altuve in mid-celebration hugged by a teammate.

It’s just quirky enough that any Altuve fan should probably add this card to his or her collection.
