Jeremy Pena has been trending upwards since his 2022 season where he was instrumental in the Houston Astros winning another World Series Championship.

Along with his impressive performance on the field, the shortstop for the Astros has also made a name for himself in the hobby with his rookie cards also quickly becoming a highly sought-after card among baseball card collectors.

With many collectors expecting him to build upon his World Series MVP season, the value of his cards have already seen a nice increase.

If you got in early, you’ve probably multiplied your potential profit amount. But if you’re looking for one now, be prepared to pay a bit of a premium for a high-grade, numbered card

Here’s some of the Jeremy Pena baseball cards we like best and where you can currently find them on eBay.

  1. 2020 Bowman Chrome Rookie Autograph Card

A must-have for serious Jeremy Pena rookie card collectors is from the Bowman Chrome set, especially if he has an autograph card in the set.

Fortunately, there are many autograph cards available with the more rare parallels fetching premium prices already.

2. 2022 Topps Chrome Sapphire Rookie Card

A nice sharp-looking card that’s a great alternative to the Bowman Chrome can be found in the Topps Chrome Sapphire set.

You can get raw cards that are fairly affordable with the higher grade cards sometimes 5 to 10x the raw card values.

3. 2022 Topps Chrome Update Autograph Card

For collectors who can’t afford the Bowman Chrome autograph rookie card, this is a nice consolation card – if you don’t mind a sticker autograph.

The Topps Chrome Update cards ranges in price depending on the rarity of the parallel but most are in the hundreds still as of early 2023.

MORE INFO ON JEREMY PENA: After being added to the Houston Astros roster in November 2021, the following year Pena was named the starting shortstop after the departure of Carlos Correa in free agency to the Twins.

During the 2022 regular season, Pena had a .253 average, hit 22 home runs, 63 RBIs, with 72 runs scored and 11 stolen bases. He also had the lowest walk-to-strikeout ratio in the Major Leagues (0.16). He also tied Correa for the franchise rookie record for most home runs by a shortstop.

Pena really made his mark in the postseason during the American League Division Series (ALDS) including a home run in the top of the 18th inning, clinching an ALDS sweep for Houston against Seattle. He was then named the MVP.

Pena was also named the MVP of the American League Championship Series (ALCS), hitting .353 with two home runs, sweeping the New York Yankees.

His home run streak continued in Game 5 of the World Series when he homered off Noah Syndergaard, becoming the first rookie shortstop to hit a home run in World Series play.

Pena was named the World Series MVP, becoming the first American League player to win both the League Championship Series and World Series MVP awards in the same year.

All that said, Jeremy Pena baseball cards became a hot commodity in the 2022 season. Look for Jeremy Pena baseball card values to potentially rise if he builds on top of his recent success.
