After spending his entire career to date with the Detroit Tigers, it’s been reported on Twitter that Justin Verlander has been traded to the World Series contending Houston Astros.
The news went back and forth about the deal being off then on again. When all was said and done, Verlander seems to indeed be heading to Houston.
Having won the American League Cy Young award in 2011 and being nominated for one in 2016, Verlander’s rookie card can see another uptick if he wins the World Series with the Houston Astros.
Currently, a nicely graded BGS 9.5/10 Gold Refractor (numbered to 50) of the 2005 Bowman Chrome autograph rookie card is available for $1,499 (click link to buy on eBay).
One that’s more affordable is the base autograph card with a BGS Grade 8.5/10 currently going for $99.99.
