A little overshadowed by the hype of New York Yankees’ rookie phenom Aaron Judge, Miami Marlins’ slugger Giancarlo Stanton has begun to grab some of the spotlight back.
He hit his 41st home run last night distancing himself from the slumping Judge and the rest of the pack in the power category.
While Stanton’s health was seemingly the big question in recent seasons, when he’s healthy as he has been all of 2017, he’s capable of putting up these amazing power numbers.
Those health risks might have been the main reason for his rookie card value to not increase as much as it probably should have. So with this great 2017 season, is it time to buy back into Stanton again?
One of his 2008 Bowman Chrome autographed rookie (BGS Graded 9.5/10) recently sold for $375. Seems like the market has already adjusted with the same card currently available for $489 (click to see eBay posting).
That could certainly go even higher if Stanton can hit the 50 home run mark by the season’s end.
