Is it possible that Toronto Blue Jays third baseman Josh Donaldson could be underrated?
Since his breakout in 2013 playing for the Oakland Athletics, Donaldson is second in Wins Above Replacement only behind the great Mike Trout (with Paul Goldschmidt in third).
He’s also won the 2015 AL MVP award and has been a key member of the Blue Jays during their post-season runs.
But his 2017 was marred by injuries although he turned it back up when he returned late that season.
Still, for players with a similar skill set and stacked stats, his 2010 Bowman Chrome autograph rookie card value seems to be undervalued. It may be a good time to invest in Donaldson as a collector if you believe he’s going to keep up this spectacular pace (especially in his last season before being eligible to become a free agent).
