How to get store credit via Topps MVP Buyback program

Visit our Daily Auctions page to see the latest sports card deals on auction ending daily! And listen to our podcast Cards To The Moon!

Here’s a great idea from Topps that both gets local card shops involved and collectors chasing some of the less desired parallels.

More specifically, the Topps MVP Buyback program that launches Nov. 26, 2022 and runs until March 31, 2023 offers collectors store credit from participating local card shops if they bring in either an Aaron Judge or Paul Goldschmidt 2022 Topps Chrome baseball card.

A base card will give you $20 in store credit and up to $200 for any parallel serial numbered under 100.

So why is Topps doing this? Here’s what the company said on its website:

“To celebrate Small Business Saturday, we are launching this program to create excitement among collectors, drive business to hobby shops, and generate enthusiasm in The Hobby overall,” the statement reads. “There’s never been a better time to collect cards, and this program is designed to make collecting even better. There’s no catch – just a great opportunity for collectors.”

So there you have it. Hopefully they continue to offer programs like this in the future. Happy collecting!
