Gerrit Cole and his top 3 rookie cards

  • 2 min read

Gerrit Cole is the new $324 million man (over 9 years) and playing for a big market and historic team like the New York Yankees can be a great thing for his rookie card value.

With the caveat that he continues to pitch at an elite level for the next few years, Cole’s rookie card value should continue to increase.

Here are our picks for his best rookie cards with links on where to currently buy them on eBay.

1. 2012 Bowman Chrome Autograph Rookie Card #BCP86

For rookie and prospect baseball card collectors, the Bowman Chrome set is an important one.

Especially if the player, as it is the case with Gerrit Cole, has an on-card autograph in the set.

With various refractors available, collectors can also chase the rainbow although the more rare ones are going for thousands.

2. 2013 Topps Chrome Autograph Rookie Card #GC

Another popular set for baseball card collectors, Topps Chrome also offers an autograph rookie card belonging to Cole.

It also comes in various refractors but it doesn’t cost nearly as much as the aforementioned Bowman Chrome signed rookie cards.

3. 2012 Bowman AFLAC All American Autograph Rookie Card

Here’s a more affordable autograph rookie card to collect.

The autograph is on-card as well as numbered to 225.

As of late 2019, it’s somewhat surprising this card is valued in the low hundreds (non-graded).
