Gary Sanchez has been tearing it up over the summer on his way to his 50th career home run in only 162 career games spread over two seasons.
If Sanchez was able to accomplish such a feat in one season it would go down as one of the greatest offensive feats by a catcher ever.
While it’s too much to ask a catcher to play 162 games in a season and hit 50 HRs, it does prove just how much power Sanchez really has, and how he is not slowing down after his record rookie season. As far as young catchers go, Sanchez is really the only player in the majors worth considering investing in.
Sanchez’s 2010 Bowman Chrome prospect auto cards remain one of the more challenging modern prospect autos to collect because there simply are not many available in mint condition. If you search on ebay you are going to find a lot of BGS 8.5 and 9.0 cards, but very few 9.5 graded cards.
