Watch out for the San Diego Padres who have a strong, young core who can compete for years to come.

Manny Machado might have gotten the early headlines but top prospect Fernando Tatis Jr. is in the spotlight now.

And although the majority of sports journalists consider Vladimir Guerrero Jr. as the number one prospect going into the 2019 season, there are a few who prefer Tatis Jr. instead.

So here are picks for his best three rookie cards. Click on the links to bid or buy on eBay.

1. 2016 Bowman Chrome Prospect Autograph Card #CPA-FT

For top prospects in baseball, the Bowman Chrome prospect autograph card will usually have the most value.

And the rarer they are with the various different color refractors, the more it’ll cost to own one.

For Tatis Jr., the same applies here.

2. 2015 Elite Extra Edition Autograph #175

It’s his first prospect autograph baseball card coming out in 2015.

While not as popular or valuable as the aforementioned Bowman Chrome prospect autograph card, this is reasonably priced and has different parallel versions as well.

3. 2016 Bowman International Ink Autograph #IIFT

Another early autograph card (sticker) is this 2016 Bowman International Ink Auto.

Most of the value can be argued from the fact it’s limited to just 99 cards.

There may be even less out there as this card in particular was originally issued as a redemption (which expired in 2018) in packs.

BONUS: 2019 Topps Chrome Autograph Rookie Card

Here’s another chromium stock baseball card of Tatis with an autograph.

And this features him in his San Diego Padres uniform. Refractor fans can chase the rainbow on this one if they have the budget to do so.
