There’s almost an anticipation of players with a tremendous first half of the season to cool off a bit for the second half. Call it the law of regression.
It’s particularly expected for rookies who will have to face some of the big league pitchers for the second or third time (who will be much better prepared in facing the batter each subsequent at bat).
But Los Angeles Dodgers’ rookie sensation Cody Bellinger has showed no signs of slowing down after the All-Star break, hitting for the cycle last night.
The same night he hit for the cycle at the young age of 22, Bellinger’s 2015 Bowman Chrome refractor (numberd to 499) autographed card (BGS Graded 9.5/10) sold for $995.
If the rookie sensation from the American League named Aaron Judge is of any indication, that price for Bellinger has plenty of room to increase.
