Babe Ruth is synonymous with baseball.
Nicknamed “The Bambino” and “The Sultan of Swat”, Ruth established some amazing records both as a batter and a pitcher mostly during his time with the New York Yankees.
Those include 714 career home runs, 2,213 RBIs, .342 batting average and a seven-time World Series Champion. He also had the best ERA in the American League in 1916.
For his accomplishments, Ruth was one of the inaugural members of the Baseball Hall of Fame when he was inducted in 1936.
It’s no surprise then that any of his baseball cards carry some value.
One of his more iconic cards is probably this 1923 W515-1 card, which is amazingly up on eBay for those with very deep pockets to purchase at a cost of $212,500 (Click link to see the eBay posting).
For such an old card to be graded a PSA 10 is noteworthy in itself.
