Alex Bregman of the Houston Astros just signed a five-year, $100-million extension.
And while that may not be as impressive as Mike Trout’s record-breaking contract of $430 million (over 12 years), Bregman is still a solid player to invest in when it comes to collecting.
After winning a World Series and having a breakout 2018 season, Bregman is still looking to improve his game.
For those who see the potential, here are three of his best rookie cards to collect in our opinion.
1. 2016 Bowman Chrome Prospect Autograph Card (#CPA-AB)
This has to be his definitive autograph rookie card of Bregman’s featuring the young star in his MLB uniform.
The autograph is on-card which is a plus and the Bowman Chrome brand can’t be beat when it comes to baseball prospect collectors.
There are also plenty of refractor versions out on the market with the rarer ones going for thousands of dollars currently.
2. 2010 Bowman Chrome USA Baseball Autograph Card (#USAA5)
While not as valuable as the aformentioned 2016 Bowman Chrome, this one is one of the earlier releases of Bregman’s cards.
It also has an autograph (although it’s a sticker auto), but there are multiple refractors to collect of this particular card.
3. 2017 Topps Heritage Real One Autograph Card (#ROA-ABR)
We love the classic look of Bregman’s rookie Topps Heritage cards.
The autographs on-card are nice with some in red ink and numbered.
There are also two variations of the card for hardcore collectors.
