Don’t have to wait much longer hockey fans for one of the more anticipated hobby boxes for the sport on skates.
The 2016-17 Upper Deck SP Authentic Hockey hobby box is slated to arrive in sports card stores and online on April 26.
One big change for SP Authentic hockey hobby box collectors though is that each box contains two autographs instead of three as in boxes for previous seasons. And there are 18 packs per hobby box instead of 20 from last year.
The cost of the hobby box, however, does cost lower than 2015-16.
Whether or not you feel it’s better to get a cheaper box for less autos, there is a strong crop of rookies this season that should be available in the popular “Future Watch” set – autographed on-card and serial numbered to 999.
That includes exciting first-year players like Auston Matthews of the Toronto Maple Leafs and Patrik Laine of the Winnipeg Jets.
And of course there’s the Young Guns subset, equally as popular for collectors as the Future Watch set.
Other subsets to look for include the following:
- Autographed Future Watch Inscription Variation – #’d to 50 of 999
- Sign of The Times Rookies
- Global Chirography
- Great White North
- Marks of Distinction
- Immortal Inks
- Regular Cards Autograph
- Authentic Moments Autograph
- Silver Skates Veterans Autograph
- Silver Skates Rookie Autograph
Hobby box configuration:
- 5 Cards per Pack
- 18 Packs per Box
- 8 Boxes per Inner
- 2 Inners per Case
