Damn is right, as one Twitter comment remarked after the eBay auction ended for the 1952 Topps Willie Mays (PSA Graded 9) went for more than $235,000.

But this shows you how vintage sports cards in good shape have the opposite effect with demand for high quality vintage cards being far greater than the supply.
Another example is the 1956 Topps Roberto Clemente #33 (PSA Graded 10) baseball card, which was at $97,100 in a PWCC auction with less than 12 hours to go before bidding ends (as of March 14 morning).
My bet is that this too will break the six-figure mark.
